Cefalù is a small Italian beach town on Sicily’s northwestern coast; about a 20 minute drive from Palermo. I can not stress enough, if you don’t have to drive in Sicily, DON’T. It is crazy, with tight little streets, 90 degree curves going down cliffs, with pedestrians, parked cars and stray dogs in the roads. Needless to say it doesn’t lack charm 😉

2 Days in Cefalù is not enough, you can spend weeks in the Palermo region of Sicily alone. If visiting Palermo, I recommend staying in Cefalù; it is much cleaner and safer. Cefalù is most famous for it’s coastline sunsets, and white sandy beaches.

Read my June trip to Cefalù, and start planning your vacation.
